  1. Make ready Whole chicken (pre- boiled)
  2. Take 3/4 kg long grain rice
  3. Prepare 4 medium sized potayoes
  4. Prepare 1/2 tsp curry powder
  5. Take 1 tsp mixed spices
  6. Prepare Pinch tumeric
  7. Take to taste Salt
  8. Get 2 big onions
  9. Make ready 1 big tomato diced
  10. Make ready Some tomato paste
  11. Make ready Pinch tomato red, food color
  12. Prepare 3 cloves garlic crushed
  13. Make ready 1 piece ginger crushed
  14. Make ready Oil
  15. Take 3 carrots (chopped)
  16. Prepare 1 Green pepper diced
Instructions to make Chicken pilau (Arabic way):
  1. Put hour chopped onion in a cooking pot, without oil. Let it cook until it kind of burning and add a little water and stir. Continue the process until all the onion has attained a golden color
  2. Add oil, tomatoes and carrots, green pepper. And simmer for about 2/mnts and add the potatoes
  3. Cover and simmer for a mint, add hour pre-/boiled chicken and add water jst to slightly cover the chicken. Cover and cook till water level reduces half way.
  4. Now take out the chicken and set aside. Put the rice and cook with the chicken broth
  5. Take some broth in a small bowel, add tomato paste 1/spoon, pinch of food color and spread it on the chicken pieces
  6. Heat oil in a pan and fry your chicken.
  7. Once the rice is well cooked, your meal is ready to serve.
  8. I served mine with kachumbali (diced tomatoes and onions)
